Music Video - Technical Influence 2

Music: "Angel" by Pilo Garcia

This music video is very simplistic as it is comprised solely of speeded up footage of clouds rolling over  mountains and desert plains, the music that accompanies it is a soft instrumental flute piece which seems to fit the nature of the video. I think the influence I would take from this would be the use of nature as its theme for the video as it makes use of something very simplistic as clouds and by speeding them up makes it look visually entertaining while still fitting the genre of music. The music itself is rather classical and starts off very slow and quiet but steadily rises in volume as the video goes on, the majority of the music is the sound of pipe flutes which again seems to fit the video as the clouds are travelling across mountainous regions and deserts so the flute music seems appropriate.

This video was quite similar to the previous one as it also was quite simplistic in its choice of theme and music, the video was comprised of various shots of nature such as clouds, trees and water with a few intercut shots of birds flying through the air, however all of this footage had a grainy low mo effect mixed with lens flare and bloom effects which made it look surreal and distorted. This effect did seem interesting though as it made some of the footage look brighter in areas which was visually appealing so  I would likely intend to try and recreate this effect in my own footage, the low mo effect that makes the video appear grainy and distorted is also a good effect which I should consider using in my own work as it gives the video that surreal dark atmosphere which I think could be useful in making my footage more visually interesting. The music is also a classical inspired instrumental piece which gives the video a calming atmosphere to it and it fits the shots of nature well as it sounds slow and peaceful during the video, which I could use as influence for the style of my music choice whilst producing the video.
